Reviews for DELTA 22-795X 15-inch Planer Head Only (Tools & Home Improvement) The 15" Delta X5 planer is neatly constructed and performs great. Many of the grievances I read prior to purchasing seem to have been rectified. Assembly directions were lacking however I used to be ready to gather it in spite of the entire lot, however at times I was oncen't positive that the complete lot was once appropriate. The directions were not present with what I received, first the instructions mentioned the planer used to be contained in a single box, turns out it was in 2 boxes, one for the bottom and one for the planer it self. Leveling the infeed / outfeed extensions took a quick time to get perfect, however in the end it went nice. The high quality of the cut is very good and there is a lot of energy. I upgraded from a DeWalt 735 13" moveable planer and the Delta 15" planer rocks within the energy division. It is much quieter than any of the transportable planers I've used previously, an ideal plus in a basement shop!
The computer feels smartly built and solid for its measurement.
